Derek Young President, Program Director, Primary Guide
ABOUT USPresident, program director, and primary guide for Outdoor Adventure Experiences, Inc. He has been providing adventure programs and trips for people from pre-school age children to senior adults for the past 23 years and has been active in adventure sport participation and leadership for over 28 years. His extensive knowledge of the caves, rivers, crags, and trails of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia has led to an extensive selection of trips and locations for clients to choose from. He has worked with church youth programs, public recreation departments, boy scout programs, girl scout programs, senior adult groups, special needs groups, private and public schools, and individuals with varying interests and physical abilities. Derek's philosophy is that adventure recreation should be affordable and accessible to all people; and the best way to protect a natural resource is to help more people experience that resource so they too want to care for it.
