River Rafting InformationAPRIL TO NOVEMBERFor those wanting to explore the Shenandoah Valleys many rivers with the stability of a large raft this activity is for you. We use twelve or thirteen foot white water rafts which are nearly impossible to flip and are still very easy to steer. Each raft can seat up to 6 adults and include a guide in each raft. These trips are particularly wonderful for families with small children or older adults.Dry bags, first aid kit, and bathroom kit will also be provided.Participants will be required to wear a life jacket and water saftey helmet at all times while we are on the river.WHAT TO WEARComfortable clothing or bathing suit appropriate for the expected weather and preferably made of synthetic fiber that dries quickly, and comfortable shoes that you do not mind getting wet and muddy in the river. No open toed shoes or sandals because they do not protect your toes and tops of your feet from rocks and sharp objects. WHAT TO PACK(Day Trips) A bag lunch sealed in a zip-lock bag; drinks in screw-top plastic bottles, and sunscreen.WHAT TO PACK(Half Day)Drinks in plastic screw-top bottles and sunscreen.
